Hurri Inc. ("Hurri," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Hurri personal safety emergency network application (the "App") and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Hurri.
Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and password when you create a Hurri account.
Emergency Contact Information: Names, phone numbers, and/or email addresses of the emergency contacts ("Circle") you add to your account.
Location Information: Real-time and historical GPS location data, collected when you activate an SOS event, use live location sharing, or enable geofencing features.
Media Data: Audio and video captured automatically by your device's camera and microphone during an SOS event, for the purpose of creating a safety record and evidence trail.
Device and Usage Information: Device type, operating system, app version, and general usage/diagnostic data.
Communications: Records of SMS/text messages sent to you or your Circle contacts through our messaging providers, including delivery status.
We use collected information to operate the SOS emergency alert system (including notifying your Circle contacts and, where applicable, law enforcement), provide real-time location sharing during active safety events, capture and store audio/video evidence associated with an SOS event, send account, security, and safety-related notifications, maintain and improve the App, and comply with legal obligations.
With Your Circle: Location, SOS status, and relevant safety information is shared with the emergency contacts you designate.
With Law Enforcement: During an active SOS event, relevant location, media, and account information may be shared with responding law enforcement agencies through the Hurri Law Enforcement Dashboard to assist emergency response.
With Service Providers: We share limited data with vendors who help us operate the App, including cloud hosting and SMS/messaging carriers, solely to provide the service.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We retain SOS event data, including location and media evidence, for as long as reasonably necessary to support safety, legal, and evidentiary purposes, after which it may be securely deleted or anonymized.
You may update or delete your account information, manage your Circle contacts, and control certain notification preferences within the App. You may opt out of non-emergency text communications at any time by replying STOP; emergency and account-security related messages may not be subject to opt-out where doing so would compromise safety functionality.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Hurri is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email.
